Calling all knitters and crocheters! Lapghans needed!One of the honours our volunteers have is to gift lapghans to patients on the Palliative Care Unit at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre but our inventory is running low.If you are interested in making lapghans for distribution by Colchester East Hants Hospice Society volunteers, please contact us for details at 902-893-3265 or info@cehhospice.org.Lapghans are a modest covering for your lower body when being transported in a wheelchair, and provide warmth when used as a shawl or additional bedding over your feet. They are cozy and homey, made by a caring heart from our community. For some family members, the lapghan becomes a cherished item.Requirements:• Must be a minimum of 3 feet X 4 feet. • Those who are quite ill or reaching the end of their life tend to have very sensitive skin so lapghans must be made with very soft yarn. ...
