The Hospice staff are a compassionate and amiable group of professionals dedicated to supporting the families in our communities. Bringing a wide variety of skills and strengths to the organization, the team blends friendly warmth with dedicated passion.

Executive Director

Cathrine Yuill

Cathrine joined the Hospice team in January of 2009. With a broad range of experience in non-profit management and a strong commitment to quality end of life care, Cathrine is focused on building a strong team of volunteers and staff to meet the needs of compassionate care for the families of Colchester East-Hants.

Megan Connors

Megan has worked in the health care system for over twenty years as an Occupational Therapist with experience in physical medicine, mental health, geriatrics and palliative care in hospital and community settings. After some time away from Hospice Palliative Care, her strong connections to and interest in improving the services and knowledge in our community related to death, dying and grieving have brought her back. She joins us to enthusiastically strengthen and expand our volunteer programs and services.

Administrative Assistant

Sharlene Hingley

Sharlene has been with Hospice since January 2012. Prior to joining the team she has been working in the administrative field for over 10 years. Sharlene also has a Nursing background and has a passion for working in healthcare and helping people.

Fund Development Coordinator

Nick Sharpe

Nick relocated to Truro and joined the Hospice team in January 2012. He has a background in working with non-profits in the Fund Development field, as well as extensive experience with Event Planning and Marketing. Nick completed the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Business Administration with a Major in Marketing at Mount Saint Vincent University in 2010.
